Products oftentimes demand a stowage solution and that is just what the cantilever racking and stowage system provides. This is better understood when you realise some goods cannot be confined/contained or accommodated within the confines of a conventional rack or palette.
Items such as lumber, iron beams, columns, reapers, steel pipes and rods, metal angles and sections, and corrugated sheets are typically very long and need an “open shelving/racking” concept, this is where the cantilever racking system comes in to play and serves well in the stowage of these items and allows easy loading and unloading. It is a stand-alone, vertical column with horizontal arms, which is where the goods for stowage are placed.
Starting from the top down the arms; are the horizontal sections connected to the column and take the weight of the goods stowed. The vertical column; is the vertical section, mounted on the base and from which the arms are extend. The base; is the fabricated floor structure placed on the floor to hold the column in place and stabilize it. The base can be in varying sizes depending on the length of the arms and the nature and amount of weight it needs to withstand.
